Civic Engagement

our mission is to ensure voters in our communities are educated to make sure all constituents—men and women alike—understand their rights, their political system. This pillar consists of our Voter Education, Voter Engagement, Resource Guides and our Souls to the Polls programs.

Voter Education - This program consists of educating community

members on new and current legislation possibly affecting them. As well as

the Do’s & Don’ts of voting in NC.

Voter Engagement - This program consists of providing information on

who is eligible to vote; where and how to register; how electors can

check the voter lists to ensure they have been duly included; what type

of elections are being held; where, when and how to vote; who the

candidates are; and how to file complaints.

Resource Guides - This program consists of disseminating resource

information guides and materials to inform voters about the specifics

and mechanics of the voting process for a particular election.

Souls To The Polls - This program consists of providing transportation

across various communities from designated areas to their respective

polling stations and back.
